In October I applied to go to Le Cordon Bleu and take there Baking and Patisserie class. So far everything is covered. I got enough financial aid to get me through the first seven months of school. I'll be starting in January. The only hitch right now is the corporate is wanting more info on my homeschool diploma. So I have to get daddy to make some me Homeschool Transcripts so that I can get that little problem out of the way. Then I just have to take the wonder-lick test and I'll be all set to go!
On Halloween we all went Tricker-Treating. Me and Aleshia went as different Goddesses. Aleshia went as Athena, And I don't remember what mine was called. The dress I wore still touched the ground even though I was wearing 4'5" heels. It was pretty fun, Though kinda weird doing it at the age of 20 lol. We went to a few houses and called it good. Then we came home and decided between the four of us what all we each wanted and then proceeded to eat most of it in one night.
Work has been going well, We've been setting Christmas stuff the last couples Of weeks. Last week I took a short fall off of one of the ladders in the backroom and hit my ankle against a "Tub" that I was loading with stuff to take to the floor. I didn't seriously injure myself, But my ankle is still a little bruised and sore. And than Friday I injured my elbow slightly carrying some shelves to an end-cap. I was carrying two of them with one hand and apparently that was to much for my elbow.
Me and Aleshia applied for our own apartment here in Austin! Everything is paid for, All the deposits are done. All we have to do is sign the lease, Switch the electric over to one of our names and get renters insurance. We're getting one in the same apartment complex as we live in now. Move-in date is Nov. 27 and we are very excited!! It'll be on the third floor, I've always wanted to live in a top floor apartment and now I finally get to!! We're going to start packing here real soon, Just as soon as we pick up some boxes.
Sounds like life is starting to take off for you. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteI thought you had those durn transcripts from when you applied to cosmetology school.
WHAT is the "wonder-lick" test? Five different images came to my mind when I read that--none of which are appropriate tests for a cooking school to give to prospective students. Well, one might be appropriate but just plain silly. That one was them handing out wooden spoons coated with various foodstuffs (batter-type stuff was the head picture) to prospective students to identify by taste. None of the others were at all appropriate.
I am not sure how tall you wanted to say your heels were but you said they were four feet five inches high. That was quite a lot of material on that dress if you were walking around on heels that high and the dress still drug on the ground.
I hope your ankle and elbow speedily recovers and good luck with your new place.
Nope, I didn't get any transcripts from my cosmetology school :(. I need highschool transcripts anyway. A wonder-lick test is a cognitive abilities test. Thank you :).
ReplyDeleteI meant that I thought you had to have those transcripts to show the cosmetology school before being admitted there. I remember your mom talking about having to print out papers for that but it might have been different papers.
ReplyDeleteYeah, a cognitive abilities test called "wonder-lick" just makes perfect sense.
Yep, The only thing we had to print out for me to get into cosmetology school, was a highschool diploma :).
ReplyDeletelol, I know!
